"Wouldn't it be 'loverly'?". Remember Rex and Audrey in "My Fair Lady"? Such a beautiful romantic story! Well Pebble Creek has its' own version of romance in a Co. called "Romanz Tea", owned and operated by none other than Roman G., aptly named I would say!
Roman has lived here at Pebble Creek for sometime now. Not only does he brew tea from the most wonderful secret fruit elixers, which he sells at Farmers' Markets, but is "growing into a favorite at specialty retail stores like BullDega in downtown Durham, Sweet Tea and Cornbread in Raleigh's Crabtree Valley Mall, as well as in Pittsboro at Fairgame Beverage Co. where they mix up special teas and a new local mix called 'Quarantea'.
Roman also crafts the most unique pieces from bamboo branches. Who would have "thunk" such a slim, slender, graceful piece of wood would yield such strong, artisan rich designs or any manner of collectibles--gallery quality, yes?
Don't get drawn into talking politics with Roman because he will take you up one side and down the other, until you have lost your train of thought and are ready to cry "Uncle"! That's what the best debaters do and it is a skill, bar none. Needless to say, you better be well read and up to date on all that is going on in this most confusing time of ours. Keeps one's mind nimble, though!
In 2008, Roman moved to the South from Los Angeles where he lived for 14 years. He attended design school in Pasadena, worked at Propaganda Films in L.A., was a cinematographer for commercials, music videos and television and directed documentaries, even more music videos, reality TV and worked as a cameraman for " E! Networks TV". He continued his creative craft as a production director, as well as art and set director for a couple of controversial Bollywood films before returning to his family in the South after a serious roller blading injury.
